A Ten-Minute Daily Warmup

A short, repeatable warmup to run before every rehearsal or service.

Duration · 09:18 Published · January 22, 2026

The routine

  1. Two minutes of quiet, low-volume humming through the whole range.
  2. Three minutes of lip trills on a five-note ascending scale.
  3. Three minutes of “ng” slides connecting head and chest voice.
  4. Two minutes of the song you’re about to sing, at half volume.

Why this order

Each step unlocks the next. Skipping the humming makes the lip trills tight; skipping the trills makes the slides wobble; skipping the quiet pass at the end means your first loud note of the rehearsal is cold.
